Mission
Research Cell is to encourage scientific inquiry and innovation across all fields of medical science. By providing proper support and guidance to our researchers to undertake meaningful investigations that address need based healthcare challenges.
Objectives

To present proper direction so as to enhance the overall atmosphere of biomedical research.

To streamline the operational aspects of the research activities in the institute.

To promote mission oriented and theme based inter-departmental, inter-institutional and inter-country research collaborations.

To build-up mechanisms for a periodic assessment of research projects/schemes.

To suggest better coordination with the funding agencies for encouraging time bound research activities.

To coordinate intramural research grants for the faculties.
Functions
1. Research cell coordinate, monitor, and promote research activities within the institution as per policies and guidelines of accreditation institutions
2. Research cell play an advisory role in coordination and steering the research activity in various disciplines and department in the domain of the institution.
3. Research cell endorse IERB approved standard uniform guidelines and SOPs for research proposal development, submission and report writings for various disciplines and departments.
4. Research cell arrange and manage the capacity building workshops on research methodology for faculty and students.
5. Research cell arrange research dissemination seminars and conferences to promote the research culture in the institution.
6. Research cell coordinate with IT and medical education unite for keeping data repository and records of ongoing and completed and published research outcomes of the various departments.
7. Research cell act as a central hub for grant approval.

Roles and Responsibilities
Academic & Strategic Responsibilities- Formulate and implement the research policy of the institution
- Promote a research culture among faculty, residents, and students
- Identify priority research areas relevant to healthcare needs
- Organize workshops, seminars, and training on:
- Research methodology
- Biostatistics
- Medical writing
- Ethics in research
Research Project Management
- Assist in protocol development and study design
- Scrutinize and approve research proposals (before ethics submission)
- Facilitate submission to Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC)
- Monitor progress of ongoing research projects
- Ensure research is conducted according to ethical guidelines
- Promote Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance
- Maintain records of approved research and ethical clearances
- Inform faculty about funding opportunities and research grants
- Assist in grant proposal writing and submission
- Monitor utilization of research funds
- Encourage publication in indexed journals
- Provide guidance on plagiarism, authorship, and publication ethics
- Promote presentation of research at conferences and workshops
- Promote interdepartmental and interdisciplinary research
- Facilitate collaboration with other institutions and industries
- Support innovation, patents, and translational research
- Maintain a database of research activities, publications, and grants
- Prepare reports for regulatory bodies (BMRC)
