The Department of Community Medicine and Public Helth is provided with a museum and other auxiliary facilities. The museum has good collection of models, photographs and charts related to health care delivery. The teaching is also carried out at community level. For that purpose PMC has a residential field training centre of its own at Trishal Upazilla under Mymensingh district with outpatient and diagnostic facility is in function. It provides exposure of the service to the students and interns at community setup. A dormitory has already been constructed there to accommodate 40 students for RFST programme. Along with this day visit is also conducted in different health care and public health facilities.
To provide quality education with basic principles, methods and knowledge adequate to practice preventive , curative and promotive health care in the community. Also to prepare professional competent to deal with ethical and professional issues, communication skill and capable of providing leader ship and take measures to meet health needs, provide comprehensive health care, organize health education at the level of community , manage mass casualty incident. Overall make the efficient professionals to conduct community based research work for future progression as an ideal doctor.

Through our Residential Field Training Centre and structured field activities, we prepare future doctors to understand the health needs of communities and to deliver effective, evidence-based public health interventions. We remain dedicated to academic excellence, research, and service to the community for the betterment of public health.
Practical classes must be attended regularly. Students must follow laboratory rules strictly.
