Roles and Responsibilities
- 1. There shall be as many Phase Committees as there are phases defined in the approved curriculum.
- 2. Each Phase Committee shall be constituted with the Heads of Dept. responsible for the core subjects of the respective phase, coordinated appropriately.
- 3. Generally, the most senior member of the Committee shall serve as its Chairperson.
- 4. The Committee shall convene meetings in the College-designated meeting room or in the office of the Chairperson.
- 5. The Phase Committee shall discharge its responsibilities in accordance with the instructions outlined in the curriculum.
- 6. All examiners under the respective phase shall be proposed by the Phase Committee.
- 7. The Committee shall ensure the smooth and proper conduct of all examinations as prescribed by the University.
- 8. The Committee shall be responsible for publishing the list of candidates eligible to participate in examinations.
- 9. The Committee shall take special measures for students who demonstrate inattentiveness or poor academic performance.
- 10. The Committee shall not impose disciplinary actions but may provide recommendations to the competent authority.
- 11. The Committee shall ensure the proper conduct of all inter-departmental examinations under its jurisdiction.
- 12. The Committee shall be responsible for addressing and resolving any complaints or issues related to examinations.
- 13. The Committee shall manage the custody and preservation of all examination-related documents as prescribed by the University.

Financial Support Providing Committe
Establishing a Financial support providing committee under the SSC in a medical college is an excellent initiative to assist students facing financial difficulties. This committee will provide financial aid to deserving students. A specific bank account will be created for this purpose. This bank account will be maintained by the signatures of chairperson and member secretary.

Roles and responsibilities of the Financial support providing committee:
- Prepare a simple and accessible application form focusing on specific eligibility criteria. Required supporting documents related to parent (income, fee receipts, medical reports etc.) should be submitted for the review of the committee.
- Ensure a fair evaluation process regarding the selection of the beneficiaries. Regular students will be prioritized.
- Establish a transparent and accountable system for disbursing funds and ensure timely disbursement to meet urgent needs. The beneficiaries will receive the fund through cheque.
- Maintain accurate records of financial aid provided
- Monitor the impact of financial aid on students' academic performance and well-being.
- Conduct a yearly review in the month of June regarding the disbursement and all other related issues.
Identify potential sources for financial aids:
- Alumni donations
- Corporate sponsorships
- Grants from government and non-government organizations
- Fundraising events
- Philanthropic organizations

International Student Welfare Committee
Establishing an International student welfare committee within the SSC is a valuable initiative that can significantly enhance the experience of international students. This committee can serve as a bridge between international students and the institution, fostering a sense of belonging and promoting cultural exchange. This committee will provide support and guidance to international students, facilitate cultural integration and address the unique needs and challenges. By establishing an International student welfare committee, the SSC can play a vital role in creating a supportive and enriching environment for international students, contributing to their academic success and overall well-being.
